Crescent Bridge
Queensgate
The Crescent Bridge roundabout or the Queensgate roundabout.
This is close to the train station and also the Queensgate shopping centre.
On the diagram if you are in the red spot you may struggle to change lanes into the green spots (this would be to head towards Rivergate), if this is the case go the wrong way safely and go round the roundabout again.
This is especially true when it is busy.
If you are at the blue spot and you are entering the roundabout, you may not have time to manoeuvre to the black spot, if this is the case then go the wrong way safely and that would tend to be the red triangle (towards the Crescent Bridge and Thorpe Wood).
The examiner will not mark you down for going the wrong way, as long as you go the wrong way safely.
Always give yourself space and time, create a buffer around yourself and it is better to go the wrong way safely (and be safe) than be on time and risk a collision if you are running late.
Rushing when you are late means you are at an increased risk of having a collision.
Please don't feel pressurised to go where the examiner says to go, if it is not safe or if you are in the incorrect lane, go the wrong way safely.
I know this is easier said than done.
