Driving and the Sermon on the Mount
How would I try to put into practice Christ's Sermon on the Mount into my driving?
"Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God" - the 'pure in heart' means being focused on one thing, in the Biblical example this would be being "pure in heart" for Christ, is being focused on making the roads safe, by being focused on one thing putting it into my driving?
When other road users make mistakes the best move we can make is to facilitate making the whole situation safer.
It is at this point our advanced driving comes out to compensate for the lack of road skill in others.
After the situation has passed we can pull over and calm down if needed.
“Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.”
By showing “mercy” to other road users and not jumping to show our anger, are other people more likely to be “merciful” to us?
